Safety, data sent, anti-cheat: everything is on the Trust page
Yes: no account, no card. You download it and run it whenever you like: it reads your setup without changing anything. You're free to stop there.
It analyses your PC (diagnostic), cleans it, optimises it, switches on Turbo Mode before your sessions, checks your drivers and backs up your streaming or editing setup. The “How it works” page walks through each part, step by step.
It depends entirely on your machine and the state it's in, so no figure is promised. The software measures your PC, fixes what can be fixed and tells you honestly what changed and what can't.
Windows 10 and 11 PCs. It detects your NVIDIA, AMD or Intel graphics card and adapts its advice accordingly. There's no Mac or Linux version. Laptops are in demo mode for now: the diagnostic and analysis are complete, but no settings are applied. Laptop optimization will come later.
French and English. Your Windows language is detected automatically, and you can switch at any time using the selector at the bottom right of the window.
It checks for updates when it starts and offers to install them in one click. You can also click “Check for updates” at the bottom of the window, in both the Diagnostic and the full software.
No, and that's deliberate: tools like that often slow a PC down rather than speed it up. Instead, the software shows what's using memory and lets you close what you want, cleanly.
For NVIDIA, it downloads from the official site and checks the signature before installing. For other drivers, only those offered by Windows Update. For AMD or Intel graphics cards, it never installs the driver itself: it sends you to the manufacturer's official page.
A temporary mode you switch on before a session. It switches to the High performance power plan (except on dual-CCD Ryzen X3D chips, where the current plan is kept) and pauses non-essential services, depending on the profile (Recommended, Game, Stream, Editing or Custom; the Recommended profile stops no services). It never touches the game, and puts everything back when you turn it off.
The software doesn't inject anything into games or modify their files: it tunes Windows. No anti-cheat should react, but we can't speak for every publisher.
It reads your PC setup (processor, graphics card, memory, drives, drivers, Windows settings), calculates a score and shows what's worth improving, in an easy-to-read online report. It doesn't change anything.
It doesn't clean, optimise, change any settings or repair anything. It tells you what's wrong; fixing it is the full software's job.
The diagnostic, plus Clean, Optimise, Turbo Mode before your sessions, driver checks, Setup Vault (a backup of your setup) and the OBS check, with updates.
Windows 10 and Windows 11. No Mac or Linux version. Laptops are in demo mode for now: the diagnostic and analysis are complete, but no settings are applied. Laptop optimization will come later.
Yes. The software checks for updates when it starts and offers to install them in one click.
The software tunes Windows and your hardware, not one particular game, so it helps all your games. It doesn't touch game files.
Not for optimisation yet. Laptops are in demo mode for now: the diagnostic and analysis are complete, but no settings are applied. Laptop optimization will come later.
Yes: it detects your NVIDIA, AMD or Intel graphics card and adapts its advice and driver links.
After a diagnostic, the software shows a link to your online report, which you can share (for example in a ticket when asking for help). It's identified by an anonymous machine code.
The software is available in French and English. Other languages aren't available yet.
The diagnostic and most actions do. An occasional connection is needed to check your licence, install updates and send your report.
No. The software is only available for Windows 10 and 11.
Free: Free diagnostic, Uninstaller, Windows 11 guide, OBS backup, 1 benchmark per PC. Then: 8 tools (4 available today, 4 coming), from €1.99 to €2.99 a month for the available tools; the fuller your toolkit, the cheaper it gets (packs: Essential €5.39, Gamer €9.99, Streamer €9.29, Full €11.99); yearly = pay 10 months for 12. No commitment, and there is no trial: the diagnostic shows you everything before you pay.
The tools in your toolkit, with their updates, without human intervention. The rest stays free (Free diagnostic, Uninstaller, Windows 11 guide, OBS backup, 1 benchmark per PC). Not released yet: PC Backup, Temperatures, Record Premium, Overlays Premium. They show their date or “Soon” and switch on in your toolkit as soon as they ship.
Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at each due date, at your toolkit's normal price, until you cancel. You cancel in one click from My space, “Cancel your contract” button: access stays open until the end of the period already paid, with no refund for that period. If a payment fails, access is suspended right away (no grace period) and comes back as soon as the payment goes through.
Online payment isn't open yet. Reserve your spot on the Pricing page to be told as soon as it is. In the meantime, the free diagnostic is available.
It's planned: a programme that rewards people who recommend the software (for example, one free month after several paying referrals). Nothing is open yet; it will be announced on the site (Changelog page).
No more appointments or pay-per-job packs: the site offers the software. There's no remote support either: everything happens in the software, with a restore point before every change. Got a question? Open a ticket from My account.
You build your toolkit from 8 tools (Optimization €2.99, Maintenance €2.99, Benchmark+ €1.99, Stream €2.99; coming: PC Backup, Temperatures, Record Premium, Overlays Premium (no price yet)). Discount by number of tools: 2 tools −10%, 3 tools −15%, 4 to 7 tools −22%, all 8 (Full) −33%; never more than Full (€11.99 a month). Packs are ready-filled toolkits: Essential €5.39, Gamer €9.99, Streamer €9.29, Full €11.99. MIDOOOFPS Team (soon): pricing to come (5 or 6 players + the coach, or 2 teams of 3; the manager has read-only access).
On the Pricing page, sign in, choose a plan and confirm (adding a contact note is optional). Reserving is free and comes with no commitment: it's linked to your account and only used to let you know when sales open.
Soon: online payment isn't available yet. Payment methods will be announced on the site when it opens.
As long as your licence isn't activated on a PC, you can withdraw within 14 days of purchase from My space: you're refunded in full within 14 days at the latest. Once the licence is activated, withdrawal is no longer possible (you accept this at purchase); you can still cancel, and access stays open until the end of the paid period. Details: Terms of Sale, article 7.
Payment isn't open yet, so there are no invoices for now. Details will be given when it opens, along with the legal information.
Yes. It's free and comes with no commitment, so just let us know via a ticket.
No date has been set yet. It will be announced on the site, and people who reserved will be told first.
One-off discounts: welcome code BIENVENUE2 (−2% on one payment, once per account); came through a partner creator or a sponsor (up to −10% on the first payment); try one more tool when you already subscribe (−50% on that tool for the first month, once per tool); pre-launch (−50% on the toolkit's price, on the first month only, then normal price). Only one at a time, the best one, and never more than 50% off the toolkit's price.
A licence is tied to one PC (the first one you activate the key on, within 72 hours of it being shown). If you get a new computer, you can move it from your account on the site (“Change PC” button).
Check that the key was copied without spaces. If you see “Already activated on another PC”, move it from your account. After several invalid attempts, access is suspended for 24 hours to protect accounts: try again after that, or open a ticket from My account.
The diagnostic and most actions work offline. You need to connect at least every 3 days (72 hours) so your licence can be verified; the connection is also used to install updates and upload your online report. A PC left switched off (on holiday, say) isn't affected: the licence checks itself again the next time you start up online.
A licence is tied to one PC. To move to another PC, use “Change PC” in your account space.
From your account (once signed in), use the “Change PC” button: the key is released from the old PC and you can activate it on the new one. Moves are limited to prevent sharing; if you get stuck, open a ticket.
No, there's no free trial of the full software. The diagnostic is free: it shows your PC score and everything the software would fix, before you pay anything.
Content creators validated by hand by the founder get 1 free month of Full, then 1 more month of Full for each paying customer who came through their link or code (12 months at most). The creator gets no discount for themselves. Their audience gets −10% on their first payment. A customer who withdraws doesn't count.
Sign in to “My account”: your licences are listed there. If you can't see it, open a ticket from that page.
After several invalid activation attempts (wrong key, or a key copied from another PC), access is suspended for 24 h to protect licences. Try again after that; if it's a mistake, open a ticket.
Go to your account, “My licence” section (/mon-espace#licence), and click “My key doesn't work”. The old key is disabled and you get a new one straight away, with the same remaining duration; it starts a new 72-hour activation window. You can do this twice every 30 days. If that's not enough, open a ticket.
72 hours from the moment you reveal it in your account (“Get my key” button). The key can only be activated once, on the first PC you enter it on. If you haven't activated it within that time, it expires: go to your account and click “My key doesn't work” to get a new one (twice every 30 days). Once activated in time, the key stays tied to your PC, with no time limit on the licence itself.
Download MIDOOOFPS (Diagnostic), then paste your key into the software: the full version installs automatically. You'll find your key in your account (/mon-espace) once your licence has been validated; the “Download MIDOOOFPS” button in your account gives you this same software. The full version has no public link: the site only serves it to an active key tied to your PC.
Only your technical report, and only once you've agreed during installation. It contains no name, no PC name and no IP address. It does include the names of the programs that start with Windows and of the main programs open at the time (not their content or files). Your documents, photos and passwords are never read. In addition, unless you turn it off (the option is on by default; “Usage statistics” button at the bottom of the software), hardware totals are counted and your PC is compared with similar PCs (pseudonymous data): see the question on usage statistics.
It's an option that's on by default and can be turned off at any time in the software (“Usage statistics” button). It counts hardware totals (processor or graphics card brand, amount of memory, detected problems as codes, the change in score during settings sessions) and compares your PC with identical PCs (at least 5) or, failing that, similar ones, showing the settings often applied on those PCs and the average score increase over those sessions: that's the increase for the whole session, not the proven effect of any single setting. For this comparison, your configuration signature and the settings applied (never a security setting) are kept with your PC code: this is pseudonymous data, never shown as is (only grouped results from at least 5 PCs). Never a name, IP address, PC name or files. No data is sold on a per-PC basis; grouped totals, without any PC code, may be shared with third parties (manufacturers, media, market research). Legal basis: legitimate interest; you can object at any time by turning the option off, and the results of your settings are then removed from the comparisons.
A Windows restore point is created before any change, reversible settings can be undone from the software, and sensitive actions are flagged. Anything that can't be undone is flagged and asked for separately: removing Windows.old, reinstalling Windows, removing ghost devices and emptying the Recycle Bin.
Registration is in progress: the legal details (including the company number) will appear on the Legal notice page as soon as they're available.
Your technical report (hardware and settings), linked to an anonymous machine code. If you sign in (Discord, Google or Steam): an account ID and a username, but no email address. No PC name, no IP address in the report, no personal files. Full details on the Privacy page.
Yes: just open a ticket from your account and say what you'd like deleted.
No. The option is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time with the “Usage statistics” button at the bottom of the software (right to object). The software works just the same without it, and you still see the comparison with similar PCs: your PC simply stops contributing to it. It helps Mido improve the software: the more PCs take part, the more accurate the comparisons become for everyone, you included (for example, recommending the settings that work on PCs identical to yours). Only totals from at least 5 PCs, never your PC on its own; no gain is promised. Grouped totals, never your PC code, may be shared with third parties (manufacturers, media, market research).
Yes: a Windows restore point is created before any change, and reversible settings can be undone from the software.
No. New software from an independent developer can be flagged by mistake (a false positive). Make sure you downloaded it from this site, then allow it in your antivirus. If in doubt, open a ticket before installing.
Your OBS, Streamlabs, Stream Deck, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve and game settings, in an archive you can restore on another PC or keep in a cloud folder. Before every restore, your current setup is saved separately.
No. Any stream keys, passwords and tokens detected are removed from the backup. The OBS check never reads your stream key and doesn't change any settings.
It reads the encoder, bitrate and keyframe interval of your OBS profile, then tells you what's worth adjusting (for example, a CPU encoder when your graphics card could do the job). It doesn't change anything.
The software adapts its advice to how you use your PC (gaming, streaming, editing). Setup Vault backs up your tools' settings and the OBS check reviews your encoder. No figure is promised.
Yes, for new software from an independent developer: SmartScreen is cautious. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. The software also asks for administrator rights so it can tune Windows.
Like any other program: Windows Settings > Apps > MIDOOOFPS > Uninstall. First, use the software's undo button to reverse any settings you want to remove; the Windows restore point remains available.
Relaunch it with “Run as administrator”. If it still crashes, download the latest version again from the site (it replaces the old one without losing your settings). If the problem persists, open a ticket from My account with the error message.
No, it never reinstalls Windows on its own. It prepares the reinstall: a backup of your program list and settings, and a step-by-step guide (USB drive, boot, drivers). Copying your photos and documents to external storage is up to you. To move from Windows 10 to Windows 11, the “Free guide” on the site (in the menu) walks you through it step by step, on your phone.
Open a ticket from your account (My account): the reply appears there. Include your software version (bottom of the window) and describe the problem. The Discord community (link in the footer) is open to everyone for users to chat, but it isn't a support channel.
In two clicks: download the installer from the site, run it, then confirm. No complicated setup. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time you run it (see the question on that).
That's SmartScreen, and it's normal for new software from an independent developer. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. The warning fades over time as more people use the software.
So it can tune Windows (services, power plan, system clean-up). Without them, the diagnostic still works but fixes can't be applied.
Open a ticket from your account (“My account”): the reply appears there. Include your software version and describe your problem. There's also a Discord community open to everyone (link in the footer) where users can chat; it isn't a support channel.
Sign in to “My account”, click “Open a ticket”, and write a subject and your message. You'll see the reply on the same page.
Open a ticket from “My account” with your software version (bottom of the window), what you were doing and the exact error message.
Yes: the software has a “Suggest an idea” button, and the site's Ideas page collects them. Suggesting an idea doesn't guarantee it will be built.
The assistant at the bottom right answers from this FAQ, and a ticket from My account gets you a direct answer.
